How's your love walk?

Hi everyone,

I trust you are well. It’s really good to have an extended weekend. I’m enjoying every bit of it. During my family’s devotion this morning, my husband shared about walking in love, he started with 1 Tim 1:5 which states:
“The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith. But some people have missed this whole point. They have turned away from these things and spend their time in meaningless discussions” NLT

We also read 1 Corinthians 13 to remind ourselves about love and we decided to meditate on “love is patient and kind” this week. I really need to be patient in this season so I keep saying to myself that "I am patient" because love is patient. I’ve been tested so many times today but I will not give up on being patient because it has to be formed in me by God’s grace.

I will urge you to read I Corinthians 13 regularly because it’s so easy to forget what love is. Meditate on these verses:

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres” I Corinthians 13: 4-7

Have a great week.

Why are you doing what you are doing?

Hi,

We need to check our motives regularly to ensure that we are doing things for the right reasons. Our reward comes when our motives are right, let us avoid doing things with selfish motives. Personally, I am examining my motives for doing things because it is important that I get it right. In our service to God, our motive should be to move God’s Kingdom forward. Please check your motives for doing things so that you don’t lose your reward. We have come too far to lose Heaven’s reward. Let us be faithful in our service to Him.

God bless,

Dupe

“I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive—but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost dead. I find that your actions do not meet the requirements of my God. Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. Repent and turn to me again. If you don’t wake up, I will come to you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief. “Yet there are some in the church in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes with evil. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine. “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. Rev 3: 1-6 NLT

What about soul winning?

Hi everyone,

God reminded me about soul winning this morning because we need to get back to praying for people who are not saved. It’s so easy to forget about soul winning but we need to bear witness to the Truth with our lives. The price has been paid for people to come to the Father through Jesus Christ and God’s strategy is to restore mankind to Himself. I was reading about marketing some few weeks ago and it was defined as “the skill of figuring out what people need and communicating that you can fulfil the need”. In soul winning, we know that people need God so we need to communicate the gospel to people who do not know God. I pray that we will be an effective witness to everyone we come across by the power of the Holy Spirit.

You are not an accident

I was at the cinema today with my children to watch the Kung fu panda film and I was inspired by the movie. It’s a story of destiny, hope, perseverance and commitment to one’s destiny. The film reminded me that we all have a destiny to fulfil. There is a problem that we were created to solve. We are not an accident because God has a purpose for us. It is so important that we walk in God’s plan and allow the Master Trainer (Holy Spirit) to train us for purpose. We must not seek to fulfil other people’s destiny because we are not designed for their destiny.

Have a great weekend.
