Since 2004, God's Grace Foundation (GGF) has been making a difference and giving children a better future by awarding scholarships to less privileged children. This has been made possible with the generous support of our partners and sponsors. You can watch videos clips showing the impact of our sponsorship program at www.youtube.com/godsgracefoundation.
In 2000, the ILO [International Labour Organization] estimated that 211 million children aged 5 to 14 were working. Of these children, approximately 111 million children were working full time and did not attend school. The other 100 million children of the same age group combined work and school. Poverty is commonly the primary determinant of a child's participation in work and reason for dropping out of school.
There is great need for educational sponsorship in Nigeria and every term we hear of more children dropping out of school because of the loss of a parent or due to financial hardship. I also met lots of children who are going hungry, sick, prone to abuse and without education during my trip to Nigeria last year. Investing in children's education yields great benefits for both the individual child and society as a whole.
Our goal this year is to raise £10,000 so that we can give 40 children full scholarship in September 2009. GGF sponsorship does not only focus on education but on the total wellbeing of the children. As well as paying for tuition, school books and uniform, we provide lunch (term time only) for our sponsored children, mentoring by a support worker, and termly meetings between the child’s support worker and the child’s guardians and also with their teachers.
Please join us on Saturday, 8th August 2009 (we will start the walk in Woolwich at 10am). We have a very scenic route mapped out with lots of interesting sights on the way and we will be finished by 1pm.
To register, we would be grateful for a donation of £10, every walker will receive a sponsored walk pack to help them raise funds, a t-shirt and a bottle of water. We will also provide light refreshments at Greenwich Park after the walk. To register for the walk, please contact me on 07859 057770 or email info@godsgracefoundation.org.
If, for whatever reason, you are unable to join us we would be grateful for your pledge to give whatever you can in support of the walk and work.
God bless you as help give a child a better future.

The pride of life (1)
One of the things we have to watch out for in our lives is pride. We become proud when we lose the child like spirit and we start acting as if we know more than God. Please note that God resists the proud and gives more grace to the humble. We need His grace everyday of our lives so let's remain humble before Him and receive His unmerited favor daily. Favor before God leads to favor with men. Make up your mind to perform only for an audience of one - the Lord Jesus Christ. Remaining in His presence helps us to remain humble because you see yourself for who you are when you are before Him.

Happy New Year!
What are you expecting Him to do in your life this year? I am expecting my life to be fruitful; I am expecting things to be easy for me as I depend totally on God. In order for our lives to be fruitful, we must remain and abide in Him by obeying Him at all times. Sometimes I wonder if I am in full obedience but everyday I cry unto God to open my eyes to areas that I need to work on. It is essential that we remain and abide in God so that we can be fruitful.
We need to be fruitful so that people can benefit from lives and be nourished. God wants to nourish people through your life, are you ready for that level of living? It’s a higher level and a divine order. As for me, I will be fruitful this year in every area of my life in Jesus name. You can believe God for great things and they will come to pass if you eliminate doubt from your heart and dare to believe God. You just need to start from where you are, don’t look at others or compare yourself to others. This is a time to be you and work on be the best you can be through God’s grace.
Blessings,
Dupe
“Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine near a spring, whose branches climb over a wall. With bitterness archers attacked him; they shot at him with hostility. But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel, because of your father's God, who helps you, because of the Almighty, who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings of the deep that lies below, blessings of the breast and womb. Your father's blessings are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountains, than the bounty of the age-old hills. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers.” Genesis 49: 22-26 NIV
