Don't Panic!

Do not be afraid! Do not be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours but God’s. 2 Chronicles 20:15b

This was God’s response to King Jehoshaphat and his people when they cried to God because the armies of Moabites, Ammonites and Memunites declared war on Israel. Instead of panicking, he told the people to fast and they cried to the Lord God (v5-12).

They reminded God of His promises and that they know that He is able to rescue them (v6).
They reminded God of His covenant with Father Abraham (v7).
They acknowledge that they were powerless against the army that was about to attack them (v12).

God answered their prayers in verse 15-17. Are you facing an impossible situation, or are their challenges threatening your life. Instead of running around, why don’t you seek the Lord of God of Israel? He is the same God and He has not changed. If He can answer Jehoshaphat, He will answer you.

Acknowledge that you are powerless and ask Him to intervene in this situation and He will surely give you a word that will come to pass. In Jehoshapat case, He said that:

They will not need to fight in this battle because the battle is His.
They should take their positions and then stand still and watch the Lord fight (v17). Their position was to praise God (v22)
He also told them not to be afraid or discouraged because He is with them (v17).

If you read v22-26, you will see that God’s word came to pass. Have you been seeking God about a battle that seems to overwhelming. God is saying don’t be afraid, take a position of praise and stand still to see God fight for you.

God bless,

Dupe
