The pride of life (1)

One of the things we have to watch out for in our lives is pride. We become proud when we lose the child like spirit and we start acting as if we know more than God. Please note that God resists the proud and gives more grace to the humble. We need His grace everyday of our lives so let's remain humble before Him and receive His unmerited favor daily. Favor before God leads to favor with men. Make up your mind to perform only for an audience of one - the Lord Jesus Christ. Remaining in His presence helps us to remain humble because you see yourself for who you are when you are before Him.

Prayer points:

  • Pray that God will show you any pride that is your heart.
  • That He will help to remain humble before Him.

Stay blessed and in His presence

Happy New Year!

What are you expecting Him to do in your life this year? I am expecting my life to be fruitful; I am expecting things to be easy for me as I depend totally on God. In order for our lives to be fruitful, we must remain and abide in Him by obeying Him at all times. Sometimes I wonder if I am in full obedience but everyday I cry unto God to open my eyes to areas that I need to work on. It is essential that we remain and abide in God so that we can be fruitful.

We need to be fruitful so that people can benefit from lives and be nourished. God wants to nourish people through your life, are you ready for that level of living? It’s a higher level and a divine order. As for me, I will be fruitful this year in every area of my life in Jesus name. You can believe God for great things and they will come to pass if you eliminate doubt from your heart and dare to believe God. You just need to start from where you are, don’t look at others or compare yourself to others. This is a time to be you and work on be the best you can be through God’s grace.

Blessings,

Dupe

“Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine near a spring, whose branches climb over a wall. With bitterness archers attacked him; they shot at him with hostility. But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel, because of your father's God, who helps you, because of the Almighty, who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings of the deep that lies below, blessings of the breast and womb. Your father's blessings are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountains, than the bounty of the age-old hills. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers.” Genesis 49: 22-26 NIV

Don't Panic!

Do not be afraid! Do not be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours but God’s. 2 Chronicles 20:15b

This was God’s response to King Jehoshaphat and his people when they cried to God because the armies of Moabites, Ammonites and Memunites declared war on Israel. Instead of panicking, he told the people to fast and they cried to the Lord God (v5-12).

They reminded God of His promises and that they know that He is able to rescue them (v6).
They reminded God of His covenant with Father Abraham (v7).
They acknowledge that they were powerless against the army that was about to attack them (v12).

God answered their prayers in verse 15-17. Are you facing an impossible situation, or are their challenges threatening your life. Instead of running around, why don’t you seek the Lord of God of Israel? He is the same God and He has not changed. If He can answer Jehoshaphat, He will answer you.

Acknowledge that you are powerless and ask Him to intervene in this situation and He will surely give you a word that will come to pass. In Jehoshapat case, He said that:

They will not need to fight in this battle because the battle is His.
They should take their positions and then stand still and watch the Lord fight (v17). Their position was to praise God (v22)
He also told them not to be afraid or discouraged because He is with them (v17).

If you read v22-26, you will see that God’s word came to pass. Have you been seeking God about a battle that seems to overwhelming. God is saying don’t be afraid, take a position of praise and stand still to see God fight for you.

God bless,

Dupe

Keep on producing

Hi everyone,

I use the UCB word for today devotional for my daily bible study and I was so blessed by what was shared on the 16th of October. It was based on Proverbs 30:28.

Your size doesn’t determine your potential, your spirit does. No matter where you start, you can end up in the king’s palace. As long as you live, keep on producing! You might not produce as much as someone else but you’ve got to keep on producing. We don’t all produce at the same level, but we must all produce at some level.

When we are fruitful, other people can "eat" the fruits that we produce or gain from our lives. We cannot afford to stop producing. Don’t be intimidated by someone else's level of production, just make sure you are producing.

Above all remember that we have to connect with God or the Vine before we can produce. Our lives are all about others, by God’s grace, keep on producing.

Thanksgiving

It’s my birthday today and I am so grateful to God for adding another year to my life. I’ve been quiet because I was in Nigeria for 10 days, it was such a fruitful journey and a time of refreshing. All the glory belongs to God. I noticed that the spiritual atmosphere in Nigeria is different so you have to be prayerful. This trip really improved my spiritual life, I believe I was set up by God to improve my prayer life. There is so much to share but I will write as led by the Holy Spirit. Have a fruitful week and remember that God is faithful.

Are you tired and worn out?

If you are weary, exhausted, shattered or drained, I want you to know that there is strength in God. So many things can drain us or make us weary but we know from the word of God that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength because He gives strength to those who are tired and worn out. Are you weary financially, go to God for provision, do you feel as if you can’t go on, God is waiting for you. Don’t give up on your dreams because of the storms, our Father Abraham believed in hope against hope. As we wait on the Lord, He will give us instructions that will lead us to our promise land. I have made up my mind to hold on to God’s promises and as long as I live, I shall testify of the Lord’s goodness in my life in Jesus name.

If you are looking for your next job or contract, you might dread Mondays because you don’t have anywhere to go. Don’t be discouraged because the Lord is faithful. Recently I’ve felt drained financially because everything is more expensive and it feels as if all I do is spend, spend, and spend. I’ve chosen to put my trust in God and I can tell you that He has been faithful. Last week at work, I was given £150 vouchers that I can use in many shops plus pay a rise that I wasn’t expecting, God is awesome. I know the world is going through a shaking and everything that can be shaken will be shaken. As Christians, let us build our lives on the Rock and we will not be shaken because the Rock of ages cannot be shaken. He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.

Dupe

Thank you Jesus

I am thanking God for coming through for me mightily yesterday, He is too faithful to fail, He is dependable and He is more than enough. The more you trust in Him, the more secure you will be because those who put their trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion. Psalm 125:1 NLT
